The clone feature is accessed by clicking on the “Clone” icon at the top of the Work Order or estimate. It’s located to the right of the Approval Status dropdown. To start the cloning process, click on this icon.

Next you will see a confirmation dialog that lets you know what will be cloned and what won’t. This allows you to Cancel the cloning operation if you clicked that button by mistake.

What is cloned?

The cloning process copies most of the information in the Work Order/Estimate but not all information is transferred to the new Work Order.

  • Work Order/Estimate Title
  • Service Description
  • Current Jobs
  • All Job Parts, Labor, Fees
  • Work Order Fees (global fees like credit card fees)
  • Work Order Notes

  • Customer
  • Vehicle
  • Job Notes
  • Job Photos
  • Technician Time or Assigned Technicians
  • Taxes (since those are based off Customer Taxable Status)

Once you click on the “Clone Work Order” button a new copy will appear in your list of Work Orders. The title will have (copy) and the current date appended to the Title so you can recognize it more quickly.
