How to set up your online appointment page

Bay Boss’s online scheduling tool gives you a simple way to accept appointments from customers and update your shop’s information instantly.

We built Online Appointment Booking to give you your time back. It’s like having a service advisor who never sleeps, never takes a lunch break, and never makes a scheduling mistake.

Step 1: Set Your Shop’s Services

You’re in control. In the Bay Boss Appointment Booking Settings, click on Create Booking Widget.

Note - If you don’t see the Appt. Booking link on your navigation, go to Settings/Users - select your user, then click on the Permissions tab and enable “View Appointment Booking”.

Select Services

The select services screen contains two columns of information. The column on the left is our library of “Available Services”. To add any of these to your list of services (which dictates the services available for your customer to select) click on the Green + button next to one or more services.

Once added, they will appear in your list of “Selected Services”. Once you have added all the services you want to appear in your online booking tool, click on the “Customize Services” tab at the top of the page.

Customize Services

Now that you have the list of services available, you can customize the Service Name, Short Description or Price displayed on your widget. Additionally, you can choose to deactivate any service. This will remove it from your widget - meaning customers can’t see or select this service when they are booking an appointment with your shop online, but will still keep this item in your list of services. If you do not want pricing displayed on your online booking tool for customers, just delete the price from any service.

Set Shop Availability

When you have your services looking how you want them to look, click on the “Set Shop Availability” tab at the top of the page. This is where you can set shop hours that a customer will see on the online booking tool.

Additionally, you can set the “Max appointments per time slot”. If you set this to 1, the scheduling widget will look at your shops calendar and if there is already one appointment scheduled, the customer will not be able to create an appointment for that time slot. If you set it to 3 and you have one appointment, 2 other appointments will be able to be created for that same time slot. Once you have one appointment, 2 additional appointments can scheduled. This logic is what drives the available times each day that a customer booking with your shop can see.

Preview Widget

When you are finished setting up the configurations for your site, you can click on the “Preview Widget” tab at the top of the page to see how your online scheduling tool will look to users.
