What it is. The Low Stock tab on the Parts page shows the inventory parts that are out of stock, at or below their reorder level, or close to it. Use it as a quick daily check on what to order.
Who sees it. Anyone who has access to the Parts page.
Before you start. A part only appears if it has a Reorder at amount greater than 0. Set this on the part's edit screen. Parts with no reorder level are left out.
How parts are grouped
- Out of Stock: Qty on Hand is 0 or less.
- Below Reorder Point: Qty on Hand is above 0 and at or below the Reorder at amount.
- Nearing Reorder Point: Qty on Hand is above the reorder level but within 25% of it. For example, with Reorder at 10, anything up to 12.5 counts as nearing.
Using the tab
- Open Parts and select Low Stock (on mobile, choose it from the tab dropdown).
- The three cards at the top show how many parts are in each group. Select a card to show only that group. Select it again to clear.
- Use the Vendor filter to see one supplier's low parts, which helps when you're building an order. Select Clear filters to start over.
- Each row shows the part name, part number, Qty on Hand, Reorder at, how many you're short, the vendor and the location.
- Select a row to open the part and update its quantity, reorder level or vendor. The page shows 20 parts at a time, with Previous and Next buttons.
If everything is above its reorder level, you'll see "All stocked parts are above their reorder levels."
