How to enable the Stripe Integration

Enable Integrated Credit Card Processing to accept payments directly on your Work Orders. (Powered by Stripe)

Bay Boss integrates with Stripe for secure credit card/payment processing for your shop customers. Using Stripe is free for Bay Boss customers and allows you to accept payments for all Work Orders in the system. Stripe fees are similar to other CC processing systems, but there is no additional fee for using the service from Bay Boss. To set up the Stripe Integration, click on Integrations from the menu on the left.

Stripe Onboarding

To start using Stripe for payment processing in Bay Boss, you will need to go through the Stripe Onboarding process to set up a Stripe Connect account. There is no charge for setting up this account.

This is a multi-step process that only takes a few minutes but does require you to have some basic information about your business ready.

1. Business Legal Information

  • Legal Business Name: As it appears on your tax returns.
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN): Or Social Security Number if you are a Sole Proprietor.
  • Business Address: The physical location of the shop.
  • Business Phone Number.

2. Banking Details (For Payouts)

  • Routing Number and Account Number for the shop’s business checking account.
  • Alternatively: If you know your login and password for your online banking, Stripe offers a simple way to connect them.

3. Owner/Representative Verification

Stripe is required by law to verify the identity of the person opening the account.

  • Legal Name & Date of Birth.
  • Social Security Number (SSN): Usually just the last 4 digits, but sometimes the full number is required for identity verification.
  • Home Address.

To start the process, click on the Connect button in the Stripe Integration. This will open a separate tab on your browser. You will complete the entire verification on Stripe’s servers and be sent back to Bay Boss when complete.

Once you have completed the Stripe Onboarding process, the Stripe Integration will show as “Connected” and you will now be able to use Stripe to process payments for your work orders. Additionally, you will have access to the Stripe Express Dashboard where you can review all payments, payouts and track revenue for your shop.
